Twins Zeroing in on Kyle Wright as Top Pick

The Minnesota Twins are expected to select Vanderbilt starting pitcher Kyle Wright with the top overall pick in this June's MLB draft, according to various reports over the past few days. We had been hearing for weeks that the team wasn't all that enamored with California prep right hander Hunter Greene, and would likely look to strike a deal with a different top 10 prospect.

The Minnesota Vikings Next Franchise Quarterback

The Minnesota Vikings have realistically had one franchise quarterback in the more than 50 years they've been in existence, and that man was Fran Tarkenton. As a third round pick he may very well be the greatest draft pick in Vikings history, although to be fair the league was considerably smaller so Tarkenton was a third round pick despite being the #29 overall selection. I'll still give the honor of best draft pick to Randy Moss, but certainly wouldn't argue with Fran.

2017 NBA Draft Lottery Scenarios

With the 2017 NBA Draft Lottery taking place this evening, 13 fan bases could potentially watch their favorite team land the coveted #1 pick in the NBA Draft on June 22. As usual, the Sacramento Kings fan base is left without any chance of the top pick, thanks to a prior trade with the Philadelphia 76ers. To be fair, it's not all bad, as the Kings are most likely to end up with two top 10 picks, albeit #8 and #10.

2012 NFL Draft Grades

Anyone who follows football and watches the NFL draft likely enjoys reading the NFL draft grade articles that come out immediately after the draft finishes. Even though we all know the grades mean nothing, we still devour the information because it's always fun to hear good things about our favorite teams.

Smart people have said for years that you can't properly grade an NFL draft for at least five years, because by then most players have had an opportunity to grow into their roles. Players who are still struggling at that point are unlikely to ever become a key contributor elsewhere.

With that in mind, let's take a look back at the 2012 NFL Draft and give teams grades.

Minnesota Twins Down on the Farm

After taking a look at some of the best and worst performances for the month of April by the major league squad, today let's take a look at the Minnesota Twins farm system and who's impressed thus far. Jose Berrios has been dominating, but he really has no business being in AAA at this point so his great month isn't covered.
